We certainly have a spring in our step as we reach out to Spain by putting increased resources and focus on our growth in the country, positioning Madrid as a hub for expansion into Southern Europe over the coming years. We already have a strong presence in the Spanish market, particularly through our disruptive offering of high-end Bare Metal and cloud servers with ultra-low latency. To date, we provide services to more than 1,200 Spanish clients, across all industries.

New vision for the Spanish market

After recently announcing our expansion to Poland, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, we are making our first move into the Spanish market with dedicated resources, local communication and country-specific programs to cater to local demands.

“Spain has several of Europe’s fastest-growing tech ecosystems, and with our established network of Scaleway customers, we see a significant opportunity to expand our presence into this region of Europe,” said Yann Lechelle, CEO, Scaleway. “Our goal is to continue to provide innovative solutions to our customers, in a highly sustainable and collaborative way, and we’re looking forward to better servicing the evolving cloud computing and high-end dedicated server needs of the Spanish market and the southern regions of Europe. We are confident that Spain will become one of our most important markets in the coming years.”

From zero-carbon data centers to carbon-neutral cloud computing: an integrated chain putting environmental responsibility and innovation first to bring the market the cloud that makes sense. The Scaleway Datacenter teams accompany clients on all types of co-location projects (housing), certified ISO 27001, ISO 50001, and Healthcare HDS, with a large choice of network operators (carrier neutral) and state-of-the-art design (TIER 3) in order to guarantee optimal service quality and an industry-leading security level.

We have a daring approach that challenges the status quo, our public cloud ecosystem is designed to leverage market standards to make things simpler: S3 compatibility, a rolling up-to-date Kubernetes and Terraform support.

Our dedicated servers are commonly used for production environments thanks to their high performance, extreme reliability, and the level of control, security and competitive pricing that they offer. To meet growing demand, we are continuing to enhance our dedicated servers range with new high-end offers in cutting-edge sustainable data centers.

Leveling the playing field in data infrastructure

Scaleway is one of the three European cloud service providers to be a founding member of GAIA-X, a project initiated by France and Germany that will enable companies, organizations, and citizens to retain control of their data. Security threats, data sovereignty, and technical infrastructures are increasingly important for European companies within a cloud computing landscape dominated by large non-EU players. The aim of the project is to set up a high-performance, competitive, and reliable European cloud.
